Goodwill Omaha’s May “Round It Up” Campaign to Support RISE
OMAHA, Neb., April 27, 2026 — Goodwill Omaha is proud to announce its May “Round It Up” campaign, benefiting RISE, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting system-impacted individuals as they transition from incarceration back into the community.
Throughout the month of May, shoppers at all Goodwill Omaha retail locations will have the opportunity to “round up” their purchases to the nearest dollar at checkout. Every cent raised will directly support RISE and its comprehensive, life-changing programs.
With 95% of incarcerated individuals eventually returning to the community, RISE focuses on equipping participants with the tools needed to become successful, contributing members of society. Through its unique “inside-out” model, RISE begins programming during incarceration with its In-Prison Program (IPP), laying the foundation for long-term success.
After release, participants continue receiving support through a wide range of reentry services, including employment assistance, family programming, business training, and policy and advocacy initiatives. These programs ensure individuals are supported not only during reentry, but throughout their entire journey, before release, during reintegration, and as they rebuild connections with their families and communities.
“Goodwill Omaha is committed to creating opportunities for individuals to thrive,” said Tobi Mathouser, President & CEO at Goodwill Omaha. “RISE’s holistic approach to reentry support is transforming lives across our community, and we’re proud to partner with them for our May Round It Up campaign.”
Funds raised through the campaign will provide critical operating support to sustain and expand RISE’s programming, which impacts more than 350 system-impacted individuals each year, primarily in Douglas County.
Goodwill Omaha encourages the community to participate by shopping and rounding up at checkout throughout May. Small contributions can make a big difference in helping individuals rebuild their lives and strengthen our community.
