Goodwill Omaha Round It Up Campaign Helps Adults Earn High School Diplomas

OMAHA, Neb., July 31, 2026 — Goodwill Omaha’s next Round It Up campaign will help adults across the Omaha metro earn their high school diplomas and take the next step toward better jobs, greater independence, and a more secure future.

During the campaign, customers at any Goodwill Omaha retail location can round their purchase total up to the nearest dollar at checkout. Every cent donated will support Goodwill Omaha’s Adult Education Center, which provides free education and career support for adults working toward a traditional high school diploma.

The Adult Education Center offers educational programming, laptop workstations, wraparound services and job-placement support designed to help students overcome barriers and keep moving forward. For many students, earning a diploma is more than an educational milestone — it can open the door to higher-paying jobs, long-term stability and new opportunities for themselves and their families.

“The support of Goodwill Omaha customers will help us continue removing barriers to education and creating opportunities for adults who are working toward a better future,” said Dr. Allison Meister, Director of the Adult Education Center. “We are grateful for this partnership and for the generosity of our community.”

Goodwill Omaha helps fund the Adult Education Center through its retail operations, and community support and now through Round It Up the program will continue to grow. Together, small contributions at the register can add up to meaningful support for adults pursuing education, employment and a brighter future.

Since Goodwill Omaha acquired the Adult Education Center in January 2025, the program has seen significant growth. Enrollment has increased by 150% in 2026 alone, and the Adult Education Center has helped more than 150 adults earn their high school diplomas, including 92 during the past year.
