Round it up for Accepted Food Bank
Goodwill Omaha is proud to announce the launch of its latest “Round It Up” campaign, an initiative designed to support the ongoing efforts of local nonprofits. This season, Goodwill Omaha is excited to partner with the Accepted Food Bank, a vital organization working to combat food insecurity in our community.
Starting October 1 through October 31 shoppers at Goodwill Omaha stores can choose to round up their purchase totals to the nearest dollar. All proceeds from this campaign will go directly to the Accepted Food Bank, helping provide nutritious meals to children after school.
“Our mission at Goodwill Omaha is not only to support workforce development but also to partner with organizations that uplift our community,” said Tobi Mathouser, President and CEO of Goodwill Omaha. “The Accepted Food Bank plays an essential role in alleviating hunger, and we are honored to collaborate with them. Every penny rounded up will make a significant difference in helping them continue their critical work.”
The partnership between Goodwill Omaha and the Accepted Food Bank underscores both organizations’ commitment to creating a positive, lasting impact in Omaha. With 130 children relying on food assistance from the Accepted Food Bank every month, the funds raised from the “Round It Up” campaign will go a long way in supporting food distribution efforts, nutritional education, and other vital programs. $20 will provide meals to a hungry child for a month.
“Accepted Food Bank is built on 2 fundamental principles: That no child should go hungry and that hunger knows no zip code. said Rick Milone, CEO of Accepted Food Bank.
Community members are encouraged to participate in the campaign by rounding up their purchases at any Goodwill Omaha store location. Every donation, no matter how small, has the potential to provide meals to those experiencing food insecurity. Additionally, the “Round It Up” campaign is a perfect example of how shopping sustainably and donating to Goodwill can have a ripple effect, benefiting even more members of the community.

About Accepted Food Bank
The Accepted Food Bank is a local nonprofit dedicated to providing food and resources to families and individuals in need. By distributing nutritious food and offering support programs, the Accepted Food Bank works to alleviate hunger and promote health and well-being throughout the Omaha community.
Our mission at Accepted Food Bank is that no child would go hungry. Over 60% of our schools in Millard and Elkhorn are not receiving aid from a food bank, many times because their need is considered too small. At Accepted Food Bank we believe that no need is too small and are committed to delivering food to these schools, even if they only need it for one student.
