Our job training & placement programs pave the way for people with disabilities, disadvantages, and other barriers to discover their maximum potential. Each program has its own unique advantages—from helping participants gain hands-on work experience to teaching soft skills and collaboration. Our Programs
AbilityOne provides part-time job opportunities for individuals with documented disabilities. All AbilityOne positions allow employees to build skills both independently and in team settings to help ensure long-term employment.
Our Adult Education Center provides vocational training and promotes academic success, preparing students past the age of 21 to earn their high school diploma. The curriculum is hybrid coursework based on Nebraska’s high school graduation requirements.
Personal Development
To help you be your best self, we offer a wide range of classes covering parenting, financial literacy, English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED instructions to gain your high school diploma.
Financial Literacy Workshops
These workshops focus on money management and financial education, covering essential concepts for individuals seeking to create positive economic change. Whether an individual, a family or an entrepreneur, Goodwill’s course offerings support efforts to achieve financial independence and sustainability.
Healthcare
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training and certification is an accelerated two-week program. Our CNA program includes theory, lab and clinical classes.
Pediatric CNA
Pediatric CNAs work directly with children of all ages who cannot care for themselves. After completion of your CNA, we provide instruction and preparation for the pediatric CNA certification.
Medical Aid Certification
Medical Aid Certification is offered after completion of a CNA certification. CNAs with this certification can expect to earn several thousands more per year compared to a standard CNA.
Our Work Experience program helps high school students with disabilities discover the power of work in a supportive work environment.
We offer a variety of classes and workshops to prepare individuals for employment by teaching new skills that can lead to higher-paying jobs. The process starts with career navigation and case management support.
Employment Services
Goodwill utilizes its network of employer partners to connect you with a job. We also partner with Custom Diesel Drivers Training, Inc. for CDL training and Goldent Dental Assistant School — both programs are offered at our Stockyards Training Center.
Trades
Forklift Training
Goodwill offers the certification and training required for individuals seeking the credentials to operate a forklift.
Trades Training & Credentials
Learn appliance repair, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing to help secure a job in the trades.
This skills-training program is designed to prepare youth for apprenticeships in the construction trades and obtain a high school diploma.
