How to Apply

Goodwill offers Free Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes to individuals that are interested in finding employment in healthcare.

At Goodwill Omaha, the two-week CNA training course covers essential skills for patient care. Topics include healthcare basics, patient assistance, vital sign monitoring, infection control, nursing procedures, communication, safety, medical terminology, ethics, and specialized care. Practical exercises and clinical experience ensure students gain the necessary knowledge and confidence to provide quality care.

We also recognize that giving up income for two-weeks does not work for everyone.

Completion of this training is based on a number of hours established by the State of Nebraska. This program requires attendance each and every day. Any missed hours must be made up, and the student will be expected to cover all costs associated.  Applicants should want to work full-time, permanent employment in the healthcare/CNA field. Applicants must be able to pass a drug test and have never been on any abuse/neglect registries.

The application process starts after you attend an information session. Check our calendar for session times, multiple dates are available. You can also stop by during our walk-in hours at four locations or contact a Goodwill Case Manager.
